A little known aspect of surreality is hyperreality, where subjects are explored in such lifelike detail so as to render them almost foreign, strange, or to convey concepts beyond immediate associations of an image. x by *S-t-r-a-n-g-e achieves these areas of surrealism in my opinion. The suggester said, "as portraits go---this says so much. the extremities of our being represent so much of who we are, as well as get us to where we need to go. Who we are is so much more than our face or bodies...but the equipment that solidifies , enables as accomplishing of self."
